I had a dream last night that I was playing a snail game on Linux. The premise of the game was not unlike 'The Imortal' on the NES. The snail started out in a large dungeon shown in an isometric, 3/4th vantage point. From there, the snail began moving about the dungeon floor in search of 'golden rods' which, when eaten, would help the snail grow in power. From a slimey larvee, to a large snail with a swirled shell, the snail's metamorphisis would take place as bees, wisps, and other monsters tried to stop it. If the snail was hit by any of the enemies -- either with fireballs or by touch -- it would shrink back down to the larvee state. If it perished, it would reappear again and blink for just a few moments so that the player could find safety. There was also a part of the dungeon were the snail had to hop on a magic carpet and float around to another section (separated by a barrier). This was a really cool game and I recall remarking to my cousin that the graphics were so 'vivid and lifelike'. I recall his remark as being,"Yeah, who knew Linux could do this!" :) And then my dream ended. Thoughts? Paul
